The Story Behind Luna

Since I was a little girl, I’ve always felt a connection to cats, especially big, wild cats like panthers. If I could choose a spirit animal, it would be one of these quiet, powerful creatures moving softly through the world. I don’t know exactly why, but I’ve always felt that cats live in their own world, a world that runs parallel to ours.

They don’t need us, yet they choose to be with us. I find something really beautiful in that choice.

Similarly, I’ve always felt that the night has its own quiet energy, holding mysteries that the day doesn’t reveal. There’s something about the moon bathing the world in soft light, something about the stars, always there but only visible when it’s dark, that feels both comforting and surreal.

When I created Luna, I imagined a cat living wrapped in this mysterious blanket of the night, where she can be her magical self without adjusting to our human world. In the moonlight and starlight, she is free, powerful, and quietly radiant. She doesn’t have to follow rules or bend to expectations. She simply exists, fully herself.

Sometimes, I wish I could be Luna, living in that world without limitations or the social pressures that come with being human. To move through the world softly, living in alignment with my nature, unbound and free.

I wonder how many of us can relate to that desire.

Luna isn’t just a piece of art for me; it’s a reminder of the beauty in mystery, the quiet strength in simply being, and the freedom in living as your true self, even if only in moments, under the soft glow of the moon.

If you feel connected to Luna, you can bring her quiet, magical energy into your space. Shop Luna here and let her be a reminder to live freely, even in small moments, under your own moonlight.
